The castle is hidden in an unexpected green spot amongst all the local houses with a spectacular view across Glasgow when you make the effort to climb its tower.

Depending how you approach the castle it's not always easy to spot.

From within the castle you are confronted with the contrast between the old ruin and its new surroundings.
